Overview

Purpose

When using your favorite social media website, you may have noticed that the page is able to fit a lot of information in an organized way. Reading and writing comments, sharing images and posting new content is seamless.

When building a web application, my goal is to keep it simple while allowing the user to get their work done. I want the web application to stay out of the way of what they are trying to accomplish while empowering them to help others.

I'm redesigning the most visited pages in a web application and designing the page layout in a way that the content can tell a story. The high-level important information should be clearly emphasized while allowing the user to get more detail on a specific topic so that they can answer questions and be quickly able to respond to a customer need.

Audience

This website is designed to appeal to insurance agents. It contains a marketing page to describe the features and benefits of the web application part of the website. This landing page should be relevant for the interests of potential customers of the web application and answer some of the questions that they might have as they are researching potential solutions to the problems that they face while managing their client interactions. The two child pages will be content-dense pages that are highly interactive for the user—allowing data to be manipulated and viewed in varying levels of detail.

Home page

The purpose of this page is a landing page open to the public. It will have a link to log in as well as some sales material to describe the features and benefits to potential customers.

Agency Pipeline is a management system for insurance agents. It enables agents to better serve their clients by organizing the activities and transactions for every aspect of the agent-client relationship. Track quotes and sales, marketing campaigns, and analyze your client base.

What job do you hire your management system to do?
When it comes to choosing a software tool to help you keep everything straight in your agency, more features does not mean you're better equipped to provide world-class customer service. We'll help you add the value your #1 clients look for in an agent.

Reduce Errors & Omissions.
With real-time activity management, your staff will be able to provide instant service to insureds by maintaining an up-to-the second record of all transactions. Drag-and-drop functionality allows easy storage of photos and documents.

Do you work outside of the office? It's mobile-friendly!
Connect to pipeline from your internet-connected tablet or laptop and let the good times roll!

Frequently asked Questions
Is Pipeline right for everyone?
No. Pipeline is not for everyone. In order to build the best-possible product we had to make some difficult decisions along the way. We cannot cater to the needs of every agency. Our product does have a broad audience and will appeal to most growing agencies.

What if I hate it?
Your data is portable. You can download the data at any time or request a CD/DVD be mailed to you. No lock-in or contractual obligation to continue to use it.

Which package should I buy?
We recommend starting out with the starter package. If you love it you will enjoy the platinum package. If you outgrow the platinum package you can graduate into the unlimited package.

I'm an exclusive agent - what do you have to offer me?
Home office has a system, but you're not a cookie cutter agency. Pipeline may fill the gaps. It can be used in conjunction with your existing systems and augment your level of customer service.

I work with multiple carriers and have brokered business. Should I use pipeline?
Pipeline bridges the gap to provide your staff with a unified headquarters for all of your client data. Whether you're the agent of the carrier, or a broker for your client, the experience is unified and organized to make doing business much easier.

Should I look elsewhere if I have multiple locations?
Clients can receive the same level of service at any of your locations. Your associates can also access the system anywhere they have internet access.

Is pipeline friendly to data-science tinkerers?
We're data-addicts ourselves. Drop us a line to talk about what you have in mind. We'll gladly work with you to feed your need to analyze the data.

Page 3: Reference Material

This page will ultimately be a highly interactive application designed to make it easy to find reference information about different insurance companies that an independent insurance agent works with. It features a multi-column layout where the user can select a company, then a topic. There will be a prominent content pane to contain the relevant information that the user is looking for. See the Wireframe for a better picture of how this will work. In production, it will allow user collaboration in the style of wikipedia, but the content will be private to only to the co-workers at the insurance agency that uses this product.
